Robert & Rosie

Since I began researching my family history ten years ago, I've collected a large number of family photos. The ones shown here are from a batch of photos sent to me by my Aunt Iona after my mother's death in 1991. (Actually, she was divorced from my uncle before I was born, but we all considered her family until her death a few years ago.) Most of this batch of photos were of my parents in the late 1930s and early 1940s, and all of them had "titles" handwritten by my mother. Since my father and Iona are also gone now, these photos are a reminder to me not only of my parents when they were very young, but of a friendship between my parents and Iona that lasted for more than seventy years.

Arms Full (top) This was taken at my maternal grandparents' house. They always had barn cats and a dog or two. Most of my childhood cats were born in their corn crib.

Ain't Love Grand (center) The clothes are pretty darned spiffy, too. ____ Graceful (bottom)I like the white shoes...very sharp. I don't think I ever believed my dad once had a lot of hair until I saw this picture.
